American Business Opportunity in Yemen?

I’m an American living in Yemen and my husband is an Egyptian national working for a pharmaceutical company here. His work covers Marketing, Advertising, Budgeting, and Sales. He works with several companies and agencies. He is a business whiz but despite this fact business opportunity here has been dry and his company is unfairly cheap with him.

I also have my own interests in this matter. I have been away from the US for about 2 years or more. I really miss American food, mostly fast food. I have looked about franchises for McDonald’s, Hardee’s, Burger King, and Taco Bell. They already have a KFC and Pizza Hut here but I know that more variety will help both markets. The Yemeni people love anything spicy and with lots of flavor. All of these franchises though pretty much require my husband to be a millionaire with backgrounds in food services. Are there any American businesses and franchises that is not so high on the qualifications and that will help my husband build up the business and the market here since we are not millionaires to begin with? It doesn’t necessarily have to be a restaurant franchise. Thank you for any advice.

You might get a Subway or other restaurant if you have $250,000 in the bank. I prefer the idea of you opening a Chinese restaurant with no franchise..

i m a house wife( India-Chennai). i dont believe in online business. can any one suggest me with good home based business idea’s?

Many don’t believe in home based businesses for several reasons. Sometimes the hype on the site is just TOO incredible for anyone in their right mind to believe possible… and in most cases they are right – the claims are unrealistic.

Another reason is they have been burned once, twice or maybe more and have lost faith in the ‘real’ system.

The real problem I see for you in particular is two fold. You already don’t believe and your location. I don’t know if anyone who spammed you their ‘deal’ actually knows if their ‘deal’ is available in your area or not… it’s just an invitation for them to spam and hope to recruit SOMEBODY/ANYBODY who reads this question.

I have seen a lot of questionable, supposed, home businesses being generated in India lately and my personal feeling is that your people are being ’scammed’ left and right. Some of the opps I have seen are illegal here in the states and other countries. I don’t know about the legalities in India.

What I would offer to you is this:
Do NOT PAY anyone to have a JOB, especially any of these ‘typing/work at home’ ads you may see.

The problem is exactly in your question. You are doing the chasing. That is not working smart, that is working hard and wrong. You have to have people come to you.

In my business people come to me, I do not chase. When you chase you have to continue chasing. My product speaks for itself, you don’t have to taste it, wear it, or wait for results.

It used one of our senses, smell. So a simple "show and smell" demonstration will put money in your pocket daily! There is no monthly quotas, no pressure to recruit, and it costs less than $50 per month. Very simple, if someone doesn’t see the opportunity I move on.

Trust me if you don’t have $50 per month for a business then I cannot help you, nor do I have time for you.

If you have marketing money, use Google Adsense. It’s the best way to funnel traffic to your site.
You could also contribute to forums in your industry, if others find your comments helpful they will check out your site.
These are some of the methods I used for my company.
You’ll also want to submit your site to the major search engines.

Well, my husband and I got involved in the Telecommunications industry, l a little over 6 years ago. We picked this one because the income opportunity is just incredible, as it is in most home based businesses. But in this, it seemed more practical. So in our opinion the best home based business to get involved in for any year including this year would be in the telcommunications industry. We partnered up with a 15 year old world wide company that offers services that people use every day and pay for anyway. Services like Local and Long distance telephone services, Internet, digital, video, VOIP, Satallite TV, and all the major cellular phone providers as well. Wireless Phones and services from Verizon, T-mobile, AT&T, Spring, Alltel, Nextell etc.
How many people do you know, or know of around the world that uses one or more of these services? We save people money on services that they are already using and paying for, and offer them services that they don’t have. Every single month these people pay these bills that they are going to use daily and pay for every month anyway, we make a percentage. You get paid every single month for these services over and over again. This is a very profitable business to get involved in.

Also a percentage of people’s bills also goes to non-profit organizations to help fund different programs that they offer to the community like the handicap, mentally challenged, impaired, elderly, internally ill and youth programs. Another reason why I think this business is the best for 2008 and ANY year!
